Water weekend at Southport, Waterside lodge

Here is a selection of pictures and comments from the Scouts who attended the water weekend in Southport's Waterside Lodge and I think you will all agree it looks like they had a fantastic weekend!

“The funniest thing is that we built a raft “the titanic” which fell apart in the water. The worst bit was when I fell in while I was sailing and I got pushed in. But it was all great fun”
“I enjoyed the camp the best was when we went on the speed boat. I liked the sailing, I got whacked in the head by the boom. The bell boat was good but hard work. We made rafts and it never fell apart, but some of the people fell in.”
“I enjoyed the pool and table football but the speed boat was the best”
“I got hit by boom near 1 million times but never fell in!”
“Saturday, the day of the water sports. When we got outside we built a raft and 10mins after the raft was built we got on a bell boat. Then we had a raft race, the other team had a head start and after we fell in the water. The other team won by miles. After lunch we sail a boat and unfortunately I got hit on the head by the boom, after that we went kayaking and it was great fun.”
“The best part was when I and Jay Jay kept capsizing the sailing boats and unfortunately he had a saw head because the boom hit him 7 times. Later on in the night we went to watch the national musical firework competition they were great and got my adrenaline pumping.”
“The water sports we done were, kayaking, bell boating, sailing, raft building and raft race.”
“We went on speed boats without seats and when we turned we lent over and it was scary!”
“It was a great weekend and I wish I can go next year!!”
"I had a a great time, I thought it was really good"
