Leaders Weekend November 2007

 

Walton On The Hill Scouting Centenary Ball

22nd September 2007

On Sat 22nd, Walton On The Hill leaders gathered at Aintree Race Course to Celebrate 100 years of Scouting. Over 70 leaders of many ages, from past and present came together for this Black tie event. All the men had tuxes and black ties and the ladies came in ball gowns. Every one looked fantastic!

The leaders had a great time with fine food served over 3 courses, then live entertainment followed closely by a disco. The whole evening set in a brillant venue of Aintree race course which meant brillant views across the race course and beyond, as we were based on the second floor in the beechers suite in the Queen Mother stand

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event a great sucess.

 
Leaders Weekend 17th -19th November 2006, Dunham Park

Wingding 23rd -25th June 2006
This was the weekend event of the year for all Beavers and Cubs. Fantastic time was had by all!

District Camp 2006

Friday 19th - Sunday 21st May, indoors Bispham Hall Scout Campite
This years district camp was based on the theme of SPACE, we had a weekend of great fun, space, aliens, rockets and lots of little green men (I don't mean any of our ADC's!!!). Even though over the weekend we had plenty of rain. It didnt stop the fun! We made model saturns, rockets, messed up alien bodies, tasted aliens (brains and snot was nice!!!), took part in Archery, rocket treasure hunt and also had a meteor shower or two!

We also had a fancy dress and a big disco on the saturday night followed by a wide games which was controlled by rockets (aka fireworks). The weekend was finished by a mobile planeterium which took us through the stars and planets. A very enjoyable camp for all! Dont miss next year!!!
