District Activity Polo shirts

We are happy to offer all members of Walton On The Hill District young and old the opportunity to buy a district activity polo shirt! This shirt is ideal for wearing during a Scout meeting night, weekend camp or even just doing DIY at home!

These polo shirts are £14 for adults, £12 for children's size 14-15 and £10 for children's size 7 -13 (Due to VAT free).

Walton Car Rally

It’s been missing for a few years, but it came back with a bang! On sunday 28th Feb, 8 teams went to and from across the whole of Merseyside. Taking pictures, completing challenges and generally have a great time! Take a look at events page to see some of the pictures. The full set of pictures are on our facebook page. Sainsbury's Support Scouting in Walton On The Hill

Scouts and Leaders from the 1st Walton On The Hill Scout Group were at Sainsburys Rice Lane on Sunday 14th December raising vital money for their Group towards new equipment. The Scouts collected a fantastic £350 on the day which was kindly donated by the customers. The 1st Walton On The Hill Scout Group would like to thank all the customers and colleagues from Sainsburys Rice lane.

Training Course - Fee's for non attendance

Dear All,
At a meeting of the County Executive Committee, it was agreed to introduce a fee for individuals who book a place on a course and who then do not turn up, without good reason (e.g. illness / personal circumstances) and without having notified the Course Director 7 days prior to the course.

The fees will be as follows for 2009:
Getting Started: £10.00
Section Essentials: £22.50
Management and Support Essentials: £22.50
Nights Away: £40.00 (or part thereof)
First Response: £20.00

NIGHTS AWAY PERMIT SCHEME

It is the assessors recommendation that all applicants familiarise themselves with the permit scheme and have below listed Fact Sheets that may prove useful. It is also recommended that applicants have been a camp leader [within the last 4 years] up to the level of the permit that they are applying for.

Reminder - That all nights away either outdoor or indoor must have a suitable Nights Away Notification (NAN) form sent to the District Commisioner, Kevin McGlone 7 days before they leave for their camp/event.Download here the NAN form which can be completed and emailed direct before the event.
